Welcome to Pembrook Publishing
Our mission is to promote innovation and economic development, particularly within the state of Michigan, by publishing books about entrepreneurship that both inform and entertain. To that end, we are thrilled announce the publication of our most recent book, The Evolution of the American Dream, written by local entrepreneur and author Robert Skandalaris. A follow-up to our previously published Rebuilding the American Dream, both books examine the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship to the American way of life.
We have also recently published The Entrepreneur's Game: Logan’s Story and The Entrepreneur’s Game: Adrienne’s Story, a pair of novels that teach young people about entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation via storytelling. Instead of presenting concepts through the dry, boring medium of a textbook, "edutainment" books like The Entrepreneur's Game seek to educate by engaging students' natural curiosity and love of a good story. "It is much easier to teach students when they are genuinely interested in and excited about a subject, as opposed to being force-fed," explains the book's co-author, Amber Clark. "Introducing the subject of entrepreneurship and innovation through the context of a fast-paced, dynamic story is an ideal way to engage teens' interest, particularly in our entertainment-oriented culture."
